How to convert and edit HD video with Aimersoft HD Video Converter

This guide will show you how to convert and edit HD videos: MTS, M2TS(AVCHD H.264), TS(MPEG-2), HD MKV(H.264, MPEG-2 HD), HD WMV(VC-1), and HD MOV(H.264, MPEG-4) with Aimersoft HD Video Converter.

Part One: How to convert HD video
Add files -> Choose the output format -> Start conversion -> (option) Set the video/Audio parameters
Part Two: How to edit HD video
Crop -> Trim -> Effect -> Add watermark

Part One: How to convert HD video: TS, MTS, AVCHD, HD WMV, HD AVI, etc.
1. Download and install Aimersoft HD Video Converter
2. Add files
Click the button of "Add..." to load video files or you can also load the files by clicking the "Files ﹥Add files" on the toolbar.



3. Choose the output format
* Step1. Choose your file, and click the "Profile" drop-down menu and choose the output format as you want.
* Step2. Click "output" to find the destination folder for saving output file.

If you want to complete the conversion by default settings, just click the "Start" button to begin the convert. It is the easiest way to finish the whole converting process only with 3 steps.



4. You can select the settings as you wish (option)
Click the "settings" button to open the settings' window and set output files such as output format and set the video parameters (such as resolution, frame bite, encoder, and bit rate) or audio parameters (such as sample rate, channel, encoder and bit rate, etc);



Part Two: How to edit HD video: Crop, Trim, Effect, Add watermark
Click the "Edit" button, you can have following operation:

1. Crop the video – Click the "Crop" button to cut off the black edges, in this way you will enjoy your movies in a full screen.



Tips: Move your mouse cursor to a box on the frame around the video, and drag the frame to crop your video. Or you can choose a crop option from 'No Crop, Cut off top and bottom black edges, Cut off top black edge, Cut off bottom black edge, Cut off left and right black edges and Cut off all black edges, etc.

2. Trim the Video – As you have selected the clips to convert, here you can trim any segment of your clips to convert by clicking the 'Trim' button.



Tips: Drag the button under the preview window to set the start /end time as you wish.

3. Set the effect
Click the "Effect" button and set the video effects as you want: brightness, contrast, saturation and adjust the volume, etc. You can also choose the effect such as Emboss, Gray, negative, old film, or just no effect, which depending on your choice.



4. Watermark setting
You can set the watermark or no watermark.
